Arguments / Debate

Children should NEVER rule the world

Firstly, children should not rule the world because they might litter. If children litter they might not pick it up. If the rubbish or rotten food drops down into the drain, fish and sea creatures could die.

Secondly, children should not be in charge of the world because they might break into shops and steal everything. If they did rule the world, the police could not stop them because children would be in charge.

Lastly, children should not control the world because they still need adults to teach them new things. If children don’t have enough knowledge they could do something wrong or make the wrong choices.

Children should never be in charge of the world  firstly, because they might not leave the country nice and tidy, secondly they might steal from shops and thirdly, they need adults to guide them.

Weekly Reflection T4W6

20/11/15            Weekly Reflection T4W6

What I have learnt:
I have a new and quicker way to work out really hard maths questions.
e.g 28 x 15 = ?
 ( 10 x 28 ) + ( 5 x 28 ) =
       280     +      140    = 420
I have also learnt how to do an algorithm with times tables and division.

What I am looking forward to:
I am looking forward to going to badminton this afternoon because each time I go there I learn new things.

What I have enjoyed:
I enjoyed having Mrs Quigley as our teacher on Monday. I also enjoyed doing the Wanganui intermediate test. I was really hard but I got through it.

Writing Sample - Recount

11/11/15               Writing Sample - Recount
                              One Yucky Brown Pond.

Splash, I went roaring into to the yucky brown pond on a kayak twice the size of me. My heart was beating as fast as a cheetah could run. I thought the kayak was going to tip over and push me into the water. Lucky I didn’t fall in, but my paddle fell in a few times. Suddenly the whistle blew … that meant we all had to look and listen. The instructor said we all had to paddle under the curved bridge and make our way over to the big open area. On the other side of the bridge we all had to stand up in our kayaks it was a challenge for all of us. Some of us fell a few times, but got straight back into our kayak. When one person feel in we all tried to sit back down.
It was so much fun. I wish I could do it again.

Weekly Reflection T4W5

9/11/15                   Weekly Reflection T4 Wk4

What I have learnt:
I learnt how to make a video game at capital E. The best thing about it was making it a challenge. I have also learnt how to kayak. It was very hard because we had to try standing up in the kayak

Something I have enjoyed:
I enjoyed going to camp. The first thing we did was take our stuff up to our cabins. Next we had a meeting about when things were and what activities we were doing. After that we started our first activity. I also enjoyed all of the food we had. My favourite thing was going to Wellington Zoo. My favourite animal was the red panda.

My goal:
My goal for his week is to get all of my work done on time.

Weekly Reflection T4W3

2/11/15                  Weekly Reflection T4W4

What I have enjoyed: I enjoyed doing Tough Kids last week.. When we first got there I was really excited and nervous. The first thing we did was wait for our age groups to get called out. Next had to run around the track once. When it was my turn it was really nervous. When I was finished I thought I did pretty well. I came 182nd.

What I’m looking forward to:
I am looking forward to going on camp on Tuesday. I am happy because me and Jaydene are in the same cabins and the same activity group. Some of the activities we are doing are archery and kayaking.

My goal:
My goal for next week is to not sit by anyone I might talk to or anyone that might distract me.
